Children & Adolescents
Outpatient & Outreach Services for
Children and Adolescents
Approximately one of every six school-aged children in the United States are diagnosed with a mental health disorder. Mountain Lakes offers many different levels of services to help children and their families. We provide services in our offices, in schools, and in the homes of children and adolescents between the ages of 5-20. MLBHC strives to provide the best possible care for our child and adolescent clients and their parents.
When choosing school-based services the therapist will see the child at the school for the majority of services. They will also collaborate with parents, teachers, and school personnel to provide specialized care and meet the individual needs of the child.
This intensive program consists of a therapist and co-therapist; works with children and their families to improve mental health and reduce the necessity of: numerous hospitalizations, JPO involvement, and high-risk behaviors. CAIH is a wrap-around service, providing a more frequent and more focused form of treatment.
Our therapeutic Mentors are here to help children learn and practice age-appropriate behaviors and mannerisms through engagement and modeling.
Peer support services are available for eligible youth or parents. Peers are individuals who have relevant lived experience and can share their personal story and wisdom.
Care coordinators assist eligible children/adolescents and their families in gaining access to needed mental health, social, educational, and other services.
Psychiatric and medication services are available as needed. Sliding fee scales are available for those without insurance who meet required criteria. Individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, organic mental disorders or traumatic brain injuries are not eligible for services unless they also have a psychiatric condition.
